Serbia is seeking to purchase two Russian military helicopters from Russia in the near future, the Russian Helicopters company’s deputy CEO for sales, Grigory Kozlov, said Wednesday.
MOSCOW — In August, Serbian Defense Minister Bratislav Gasic announced that Belgrade expected to reach an agreement with Russia on the purchase of two Mi-17 and Mi-171 helicopters for the Serbian Army.
The Mi-17 and Mi-171 helicopters were designed for the transportation of personnel and cargo. The helicopters come from the Mi-8/Mi-17 family of helicopters that, according to the company, are among the world’s most popular Russian-made helicopters.
