Also this year Finmeccanica-Alenia Aermacchi participates at SITDEF – International Defense Technology Exhibition & Natural Disaster Prevention – held in Lima, in Peru, from May 14th to 17th.

Alenia Aermacchi represents Finmeccanica’s aeronautics division and is the main Italian aeronautics industry, world leader in the design, development, production, maintenance and overhaul of commercial and military aircraft, unmanned aerial vehicles and military trainers.

Finmeccanica-Alenia Aermacchi’s aircraft can count on a long tradition in Peru. Alenia Aermacchi’s MB-339A trainers have been in service with Peru’s Air Force for over 30 years, and more recently the Peruvian Defence Ministry has acquired four C-27J tactical transport aircraft, ordered in December 2013 and in December 2014; one of these aircraft has already been delivered and is in service with Group 8 of the Peruvian Air Force – Fuerza Aerea Peruviana (FAP). A second aircraft will be delivered within few weeks.

At SITDEF Alenia Aermacchi presents, at stand 134, the C-27J model, a twin-engine turboprop tactical transport aircraft, with state-of-the-art technology in avionics and propulsion systems.

The Spartan is an aircraft conceived to assure operations in extremely difficult environmental conditions, keeping a high level of performance. Furthermore, it is the only aircraft of its category capable of interoperability with heavier airlifters, guaranteeing operating flexibility.

In terms of speed and flight capability at highest altitudes, the C-27J is superior to any other aircraft of its category. These characteristics enable the aircraft to operate in all scenarios and weather conditions with  below-zero temperatures, near high mountains such as the Andes, as well as in jungles and deserts.
