The 15th April 2015 saw the Launch of the First AgustaWestland conference to be transmitted by webcast to our worldwide AW139 Customer locations (Canada, United States, UK, Italy, Qatar, Abu Dhabi, Malaysia, Brunei, Japan & Australia).
The AW139 Reliability Data Sharing Group (RDSG) Launch event, organized by Product Support Engineering with the help of AgustaWestland Information & Communication Technology department, had over 30 Customers registered, and more than 20 of these attended via the live stream.
The initiative was formally launched during HeliExpo 2015 in Orlando, Florida last month and promoted via a dedicated communication plan using the AgustaWestland company website and Twitter account.
With the aim of creating a collaborative working group between AgustaWestland and its Customers, the RDSG promotes the sharing of aircraft systems reliability data. This data allow a more accurate evaluation of component reliability, identifying trends and allowing focus on an improved spares planning process and the monitoring of the most important product improvements implemented into the fleet. This will lead to improved aircraft availability and reliability, and will help Customers to deliver their mission regardless of geography.
Customer Satisfaction surveys have highlighted high satisfaction (70% of the attendees completed the survey rated the event as very good/excellent) in initiatives that demonstrate pro-activity and transparency by AgustaWestland. Thanks to the support of the AgustaWestland ICT department this first webcast was a great success, using a dedicated Arkadin® web platform, fully branded with AW ThinkCustomer logo allowed us be closer to our Customers wherever they are.
Comments have been extremely positive, CHC Director of Maintenance, Mr Dug Drummond, expressed congratulations in such a great kick-off meeting: “this, in my opinion, puts AgustaWestland at the forefront of all rotary aircraft manufacturers in involving multiple operators in sharing reliability data in a more open and timely manner”.
