An airplane has crashed in Moscow’s Vnukovo airport Monday night, leaving at least five people killed, including one French citizen, the airport’s press service told RIA Novosti.
A Falcon 50 jet crashed on Monday night in the Vnukovo-3 airport. It is assumed that the cause of the crash was the jet’s collision with a snow machine on the runway.
According to Vnukovo press service, the aircraft was performing a flight from Moscow to Paris with one passenger on board – a French citizen. The press service expressed condolences to the families of those killed in the plane crash.
The Interstate Aviation Committee (MAK), an air disaster investigation authority in Russia and other ex-Soviet states, said Tuesday it would not open the black boxes from Monday’s plane crash in Vnukovo Airport in Moscow until specialists from France arrive.
