MOSCOW, May 8 (RIA Novosti) – A Russian strategic TU-95 “Bear” bomber launched six cruise missiles against ground targets during military drills Thursday overseen by President Vladimir Putin.

The bomber successfully fired six cruise missiles at ground targets simulating key military assets of a hypothetical adversary.

The Russian Defense Ministry confirmed all targets were hit.

The presidents of Belarus, Armenia, Kirgizstan and Tajikistan observed the drills from Russia’s National Defense Center.

Last month, Russian Tu-95MS “Bear” strategic bombers, accompanied by supersonic Mikoyan MiG-31 interceptors, conducted test flights over neutral waters of the North Sea.
