Alenia Aermacchi, the sole aviation company in the world to boast over a century of activity under the same shared brand, has selected the winners of their photo contest launched on the occasion of its Centennial, which was open to all amateur photographers.
Due to the large amount of photos received, the jury had a challenging task and selecting the first three classified photos was no easy endeavour.
The winning photo, entitled “Framed Tricolour”, portrays the Frecce Tricolori, the Italian National Aerobatic Team, by Silvano Grizzi, from Ponzano Romano (RM), who is therefore awarded the following prizes: • cover of Alenia Aermacchi’s 2014 Calendar; • photo publication on Alenia Aermacchi’s website and Twitter link to all Alenia Aermacchi followers; • guided tour to of one of Alenia Aermacchi aircraft; • visit to Alenia Aermacchi’s Integrated Training Center; • M-346 desk model, scale 1/48.
The two ‘runner up’ photos which drew for second place are: “Restoring light” by Maurizio Bove, from Nocera Inferiore (SA) “Master Landing in the Sunset” by Gian Luca Onnis, from Decimomannu (CA)
A special mention goes to: “The Saggitario at Plebiscito square” by Angelo Fusillo, from Naples.
The dedicated prize for the best under-16 category is awarded to Luca Fornello, from Mathi (TO), for his photo of the Macchi MC.205.
The authors will receive an Alenia Aermacchi’s 2014 Calendar and a C-27J desk model and the selected photos will be published in the Finmeccanica Magazine and on www.aleniaaermacchi.it.
