Fokker Services, part of Fokker Technologies, and Rossiya Airlines have concluded an agreement covering the introduction of the Fokker Services’ EFB solution for iPad® on Rossiya Airlines’ A320 and B767 fleet.
The Fokker Services EFB solution for iPad® is a Class 2B, EASA-certified installation including mounting and power supply. Its simplicity allows the advantages of an EFB to be achieved at a fraction of the cost and downtime of other solutions currently being offered. The solution brought Fokker Services the Aviation Week reward “Most innovative MRO in 2013”.
Rossiya Airlines and Fokker Services have reached an arrangement for implementation of the EFB solution for iPad® on Rossiya Airlines entire fleet. This will provide savings in weight, as well as enhanced accessibility of information and performance data. Vladimir Ershov, Deputy Director General of Operations at Rossiya Airlines, “Rossiya Airlines as one of the main users of an EFB in the Russian Federation is very enthusiastic about the EFB solution for iPad® offered by Fokker Services. It provides a simple, fully approved solution able to be implemented quickly and cost-effectively. The Installation of the EFB solution for iPad® became the first step towards equipping our fleet with EFB technology”.

The Fokker Services EFB solution for iPad® covers not only the hardware to mount and power the iPad®, but also the associated certification and supporting data, such as manual supplements, to ensure that airworthiness compliance can be demonstrated.
