Rockwell Collins has signed a service and support agreement with Copa Airlines for maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO) of Rockwell Collins avionics on Copa’s fleet of more than 50 Boeing 737 aircraft.
The five-year price-per-flight-hour service agreement provides Copa with a guaranteed, cost-effective MRO pricing structure and 24-7 access to Rockwell Collins’ world-class service and support.
“We work closely with airlines and OEMs to develop customized service agreements that best satisfy their needs,” Scott Gunnufson, vice president and general manager, Service Solutions for Rockwell Collins. “For Copa, the price-per-flight-hour structure guarantees MRO reliability and mitigates unplanned cost thereby providing predictable maintenance budgeting and alleviating the administrative burden of coordinating it.”
“This new agreement not only is a testament to the great relationship between our two companies, it also will facilitate effective management of the reliability, turnaround times, and repair cost of these components,” said Ahmad Zamany, vice president of Technical Operations for Copa Airlines.
Rockwell Collins’ global network of more than 80 locations provides MRO of avionics equipment for more than 6,000 commercial, business, corporate and military operations. Additional logistics capabilities include on-board services, service parts, training and simulator systems and services, technical information services and technical services.
