As the global fleet of Pilatus PC-12 aircraft approaches 1,200 aircraft, Pilatus Aircraft Ltd is expanding its service network to ensure the highest level of customer support in all parts of the world. Recently, Northern Air, Inc., based at the Gerald Ford International Airport (KGRR) in Grand Rapids, MI, was added to Pilatus’ roster of authorized service facilities for the PC-12 business turboprop.
Northern Air will operate as a satellite service center under the sales and service region managed by Pro Star Aviation.
Pete Wolak, Vice President of Customer Service for Pilatus Business Aircraft Ltd commented, “Welcoming Northern Air to the Pilatus family is a great honor. Northern Air has a superb reputation gained through hard work and dedication. We look forward to a long relationship as we continue to support our customer base throughout the region.” Founded in 1943, Northern Air offers a comprehensive range of aircraft maintenance and general aviation services. Charles Cox, Chief Executive Officer of Northern Air stated, “We are delighted to provide service and support to Pilatus customers throughout our region. The PC-12 is a proven platform with a rich history of engineering excellence. The fact that Pilatus has dominated the Professional Pilot Magazine Customer Support Survey for over a decade is not surprising. Our Northern Air team is prepared to be an integral part of this best-in-class support network.” The turbine powered Pilatus PC-12 NG has become increasingly popular as a highly relevant and cost effective business aircraft. Organizations striving to operate as efficiently as possible have found the PC-12 NG to be an excellent tool to increase productivity. Lower operating costs combined with a large cabin, standard cargo door, and the ability to fly in and out of short and unimproved airfields uniquely distinguish the PC-12 NG from all other jet and twin turboprop aircraft.
Northern Air, Inc. is one of the largest aircraft maintenance and service stations in Western Michigan with over 13 acres of secured ramp space and 58,000 square feet of heated aircraft hangar space. As an FAA Certified Repair Station, Northern Air has provided aircraft maintenance service for over 60 years.
