As part of the overall development strategy for Cambridge Airport and Marshall Business Aviation (MBA), it has been decided to bring together all business aviation-related activities under the management of Steve Jones, Managing Director, MBA/MEA.
For practical purposes, this will include the overall responsibility for the development of business aviation strategy, the management of business aviation, hangars and ramp facilities and the FBO (fixed base operations) which is currently franchised operationally to ExecuJet. The Airport will continue to be responsible for the on-going supply of Airport Services, the care and maintenance of the facilities and the custodian of strategic airport development projects. Marshall Aerospace appointed Steve Jones as Managing Director of Business Aviation (MBA) and sister company the business charter arm Marshall Executive Aviation (MEA) in May this year. Prior to joining Marshall Steve was General Manager of Al Bateen Executive Airport in Abu Dhabi and prior to that served as Managing Director at Oxford Airport where he oversaw the launch of the Oxfordjet FBO. Steve Jones commented: “This change is designed with our customers in mind and supports the plan to grow our overall business aviation traffic and create an important and successful business aviation hub. Through dedicated management focus, our existing activities will be combined and optimised, allowing for new products to be developed and launched within a high quality, ‘one stop shop’ concept.” “It is very pleasing to see this natural progression of our service which is being carried out solely with our customers in mind,” said Robert Marshall, Marshall Group Chief Executive.
