Bombardier Aerospace will be a key business aviation participant at the 2012 edition of Africa Aerospace and Defence at South Africa’s Waterkloof Air Force Base in Centurion. On display will be three of its inimitable business jets – the Learjet 45 XR, Challenger 300, and Global 6000 aircraft.
“As the African market continues to develop, we are proud to present models from each of our product families, including the latest and greatest in the large cabin and ultra long-range categories, with our matchless Global 6000 jet. Featuring a Bombardier Vision flight deck, superior cabin comfort, and phenomenal performance we know that this jet will receive a warm welcome,” said Khader Mattar, Regional Vice President, Sales, Middle East, Africa and India, Bombardier Business Aircraft. “The forecast for GDP growth in the region will further drive the push for the infrastructure that is needed to accommodate the ever growing fleet of business jets as an increasing number of businesses welcome the efficiency that a corporate aircraft offers.”
According to the Bombardier Business Aircraft market forecast Africa is set for steady growth over the next 20 years. For the ten-year period 2012-2021, the region is slated to take delivery of 325 new business aircraft and for the following ten-year period, 2022-2031, a further 485 new aircraft.
