STAMFORD, Conn., July 3, 2012 – GE Capital Aviation Services (GECAS), the commercial aircraft leasing and financing arm of GE, announced delivery of a leased Boeing 737-300SF freighter to a new customer, Northern Air Cargo.
The aircraft will be used to upgrade and expand Northern Air Cargo’s fleet.
Privately held Northern Air Cargo, based in Anchorage, Alaska, operates scheduled freight service to destinations in Alaska and the Pacific Northwest as well as charter freight service to other locations throughout North America. The carrier operates a fleet of 5 cargo aircraft.
GECAS has more than 100 freighter aircraft in its portfolio, including 737Fs and 737QCs, 747Fs, 767Fs, 777Fs and MD-11Fs. GECAS freighter aircraft are leased to 29 different operators worldwide.
