Paris, France, July 2, 2012 – In anticipation to the London Olympic Games, scheduled for July 27th to August 12th and the increased traffic in the United Kingdom during this period, Embraer has developed a comprehensive and integrated plan to support local and visiting customers.
“Our mission is to offer excellent support to our customers and it’s no different during a major event like the Olympic Games,” said Antonio Martini, Vice President, Customer Support & Services for Europe, Middle East and Africa – Executive Jets. “London is the place to be in late July and we anticipate several of our customers in the region will be very active, as there will be a larger demand for charter flights, as well as customers from other regions coming to enjoy this exciting event. The additional measures we have taken ensure our availability and assistance so our customers can enjoy the event with no other concerns.”
The actions, in coordination with London Standsted-based Inflite The Jet Centre Ltd, a member of Embraer’s Authorized Service Center Network, include positioning a field service representative, such as a doubled Inflite AOG mobile team staff, which will be available 24/7 to quickly access all London-area airports as well as for dispatch to other cities in the United Kingdom. In addition, Inflite has available mission-critical tools and ground support equipment. Embraer will further provide support from Embraer Executive Jet Services (EEJS) in Paris.
With its main spare parts facility in Paris, Embraer also boosted the On Site Stock of spare parts at Inflite to US$ 5 million, to ensure optimal availability during the games. This is coupled with increased logistical support and special procedures put in place to ship parts from any of Embraer’s several distribution centers and the Customer Support Contact Center offering its 24/7 support and advice to any customer in need.
Inflite offers customer lounges, concierge, handling and parking services to visiting customers, as well as advice on special flight operations and restrictions surrounding the games, through its FBO. “Inflite The Jet Centre Ltd is fully committed to supporting Embraer customers at all times,” said Penny Stephens, CEO of Inflite. “We have always been a brand advocate in the region and we are ready and available to receive our mutual customers and ensure that they are able to enjoy their time while in the United Kingdom.”
