A future C-5M rolled out of the hangar at the Lockheed Martin [NYSE: LMT] facilities here, May 10. Tail number 87-0045 received new engine pylons and wiring, and will now be fitted with new, state-of-the-art GE F138-GE-100 turbofan engines and undergo flight checks before being delivered to Dover Air Force Base, Del., later this year. Headquartered in Bethesda, Md., Lockheed Martin is a global security and aerospace company that employs about 123,000 people worldwide and is principally engaged in the research, design, development, manufacture, integration and sustainment of advanced technology systems, products and services. The Corporation’s net sales for 2011 were $46.5 billion.
