EMBRAER EXPANDS FLIGHTSAFETY TRAINING ROLE FOR LEGACY 450/500

Geneva, Switzerland, May 13, 2012 – Embraer has expanded FlightSafety International’s role in training for the mid-light Legacy 450 and mid-size Legacy 500 executive jets beyond pilots and flight attendants to include maintenance technicians.
“This selection reinforces the strong partnership between Embraer and FlightSafety,” said Edson Carlos Mallaco, Embraer Vice President Customer Support and Services – Executive Jets. “We are working together to develop exceptional training and tools for exceptional aircraft. This partnership not only focuses on high safety standards but also on service quality and customer satisfaction.”
Embraer has worked with FlightSafety International’s aviation training services since 1991. The company currently serves Embraer operators at 11 Learning Centers worldwide, using a fleet of 23 full flight simulators and other advanced training devices.
Embraer made the selection for pilot and flight attendant training for the Legacy 450 and Legacy 500 in 2010. In addition to the in-development aircraft, FlightSafety International provides similar training for the super midsize Legacy 600, the large Legacy 650 and the ultra-large Lineage 1000 executive jets.
“We are pleased that Embraer has selected FlightSafety as the factory-authorized maintenance training provider for the majority of their current and all future executive jets,” said Eric Hinson, Executive Vice President, FlightSafety International. “Embraer aircraft operators will appreciate and benefit from the high quality FlightSafety delivers and the many advantages of having one supplier for their pilot and maintenance technician training for these aircraft.”
