EMBRAER PROMOTES ITS E-JETS FAMILY AT THE 2012 BAHRAIN AIRSHOW

Embraer will participate in the second edition of the Bahrain International Airshow (http://www.bahraininternationalairshow.com/), January 19-21, at Sakhir Airbase in the Kingdom of Bahrain . The Company will promote its full line of commercial jets and showcase the EMBRAER 175 (E175) in the static display.The Kingdom of Bahrain is a very important market for Embraer, and we are proud of our successful partnership with Gulf Air, which has been an E-Jet operator since 2010,”

Since the EMBRAER 170 (E170) entered service in the Middle East , with Saudi Arabian Airlines, in 2005, Embraer’s presence in the region has grown significantly. Sixty-six firm orders for E-Jets have been placed there. The four models of the E-Jets family, seating from 70 to 122 passengers, are the second most used aircraft for intra Middle East flights, being operated by ten airlines to primarily rightsize routes and reduce excess narrowbody capacity. Today, an E-Jet takes off every five minutes, serving 150 routes in the Middle East In December 2011, at the Dubai Airshow, Embraer named Kuehne + Nagel to offer its E-Jets customers a new spare parts distribution center in Dubai . Complementing the Embraer authorized service center in Cairo (Egypt) and three full-flight simulators in Jeddah (Saudi Arabia), Bahrain , and Amman (Jordan), this new facility reinforces customer support to the Company’s expanding commercial aviation fleet in the Middle East and in Africa
