Ulan-Ude

JSC “Ulan-Ude Aviation Plant” (UUAP), being a part of “Russian helicopters” Russian helicopter holding company, implements modernization of mechanical assembly production in the context of integrated technical reequipment and enterprise development program.

One of the stages of technical reequipment was creation of the section of high accuracy machining of items. To do this the plant purchased and put into operation system of high accuracy and high speed turning and milling equipment with numerical program control. As per plant’s plans the new equipment will allow to apply modern technologies of their machining and production.

Nowadays JSC UUAP develops mathematical models, technical processes and monitoring programs for the new machines. The engineering company, which delivered the machines, performed training for several groups of specialists – plants operators.

During 2011, JSC Ulan-Ude Aviation Plant plans to purchase 15 more similar

machines. Totally under the modernization of mechanical assembly production it is planned to put into operation several tens of new machines.

Modernization of UUAP production started at 2008 year end as a part of the program of “Russian helicopters” holding company against technical reequipment of all the enterprises. In 2009 there started purchasing and commissioning of the modern equipment into production, reconstruction and modernization of production capacities of the enterprise. The holding company is planning to create the following competence centers at JSC UUAP: helicopters assembly, production of compartments and large panels made of aluminum alloys, assembly tooling production, equipment manufacturing for blanking and stamping production.

Modernization of production system of the “Russian helicopters” holding company is one of strategic directions of its development. Plants will obtain necessary technological base for further overall production increasing and production quality improving owing to technical reequipment of the enterprises, including UUAP. Implementation of technical reequipment program according to the plans of the holding company serves for taking the enterprise into new technological level and will allow starting development and serial production of new helicopters such as the modernized Mi-171M and high speed helicopter.
