Bombardier Aerospace today upped the ante for the rapid delivery of parts to resolve Aircraft on Ground (AOG) situations for its customers in the Middle East and Asia with the announcement of a dedicated PartsExpress aircraft based in Dubai.
The PartsExpress aircraft, a Challenger 601 business jet, is now available round the clock to transport parts, expert technicians and test equipment at a moment’s notice from Dubai International Airport to Learjet, Challenger and Global aircraft operators across the Middle East and beyond, reaching into Turkey, Kazakhstan, India and North Africa. The new service builds on the success of Bombardier’s PartsExpress airborne parts delivery service, which was launched to operators in the United States in 2007 and in Europe in 2009.
“This move is another building block in Bombardier’s drive to establish a fully integrated support system for its customers in the Middle East region and to extend top quality support to our customers wherever they travel,†said Andy Nureddin, Vice President, Customer Services and Support, Bombardier Business Aircraft. “Time is an important commodity for our customers, and Bombardier is committed to helping our operators minimize any unscheduled downtime as much as possible.â€
The addition of a dedicated PartsExpress aircraft takes the concept of airborne product support to a whole new level, with all components of a successful AOG response – aircraft, parts and expertise – centered in the region. The service will draw from a well-stocked inventory housed in Bombardier’s existing parts depot in Dubai and the multi-platform expertise of technicians and maintenance specialists from its Authorized Service Facility in the Middle East, operated by ExecuJet Aviation. Alongside its parts depot and ASF at Dubai International Airport, Bombardier also operates a full-scale Regional Sales Office, which opened in December 2010.
In North America and Europe, the PartsExpress service leverages a broad regional network of Bombardier business aircraft operators to deliver parts and mobile response teams to AOG locations, a model that guarantees a variety of aircraft is always available for a quick response. The PartsExpress service has performed over 100 missions to date.
