Ash-cloud closes parts of european airspace again

The airspaces in the north of England, northern Ireland and parts of Ireland closed.

Irish airports Sligo, Donegal and Knock are closed, Belfast international remains open, the same goes for the London airports.

The airports will remain closed untill around 15:00 CET.

Metereologic services in Reykjavik announced Sunday that the winds turned south and is blowing thick ashclouds towards Europe again.

This ashcloud will reach London next Tuesday but will drift away again on Wendesday. Possibly airports in the south of England will have trouble with the ash in the coming days.

At this moment the ashclouds drift on an altitude of 6 – 8 Kilometers, people living near the vulkano on Island were treated on ashrains again this Sunday.

The ash-particals can be most destructive for aircraft engines.
