AgustaWestland, a Finmeccanica company, in a new effort aimed at further enhancing its global customer support services, is pleased to announce the introduction of the brand new AW139 HUMS (Health Usage and Monitoring System) Web Services. The AW139 HUMS was presented to a number of AW139 operators during the AW139 HUMS Operators Conference held in Vergiate (Italy) on April 8th and 9th. This innovative data monitoring approach, developed in collaboration with GE Aviation, allows AW139 operators to easily manage the Transmission Health and Usage data collected during operations and rapid sharing of the data with AgustaWestland Customer Support and Services organisation. This allows the optimization of HUMS usage, giving a simple set of indicators for technical staff for more efficient data analysis, easier and more efficient maintenance activities of AW139 transmission components, reduced workload and increased fleet operational effectiveness.
The AW139 HUMS Web Services 3 tools-based package features dedicated data transmission software and website as well as Anomaly Detection Technology. The new data transmission software allows a quicker and smarter H24 web link between the customer base and the data repository which is automatically updated. The helicopter health status can be updated wherever internet access is available. Through the Anomaly Detection Technology an automatic artificial intelligent process performs an initial assessment of received data. A dedicated secure website accessible from any internet connection provides an overview of the AW139 fleet allowing operator’s personnel to easily check aircraft health anytime.
