Executive Flight Services receives Embraer light jet in São José dos Campos, Brazil
São José dos Campos, January 6, 2010
Embraer has begun delivering its recently certified Phenom 300 executive jet, just one year after the first Phenom 100 customers received their aircraft. The first Phenom 300 was delivered at the Company’s headquarters, on December 29, 2009, to Executive Flight Services, a wholly owned aircraft management subsidiary of Executive AirShare, which received the aircraft on behalf of an undisclosed customer.
“As the first FAA Part 135 operator to take delivery of the Phenom 300, Executive Flight
Services will be managing an aircraft that has met all design specifications and improved on
its targets, in terms of runway take-off length, range, speed, and landing distance, making it
the ideal tool for corporate use in this category,†said Ernest Edwards, Embraer Vice
President, Marketing and Sales, USA, Mexico and the Caribbean – Executive Jets.
“The Embraer delivery team has attended to every detail to ensure a smooth delivery of this
aircraft,†said Keith D. Plumb, President and Chief Operating Officer, Executive AirShare.
“As the world’s leading operator of Phenom 100 aircraft, we have been extremely pleased
with the performance and low direct operating costs of this entry level jet, and hold similarly
high expectations for the Phenom 300.â€
In preparation for entering service, Embraer CAE Training Services (ECTS), based in Dallas,
Texas, successfully qualified four Phenom 300 customer pilots, in December 2009, to operate
the new Embraer Phenom 300 jet. Due to the level of commonality between the Phenom
aircraft models, and because all pilots had previously obtained their Phenom 100 type ratings,
only a transition course for the Phenom 300 was required.
