DUBAI – China Southern Airlines is adding a new flight between Dubai and Guangzhou, bring the number of flights to five each week, local daily Emirates Business reported on Monday.
The new flight will start from Jan. 7, 2010, with direct flights between Jeddah and Guangzhou to be launched later in the first quarter.
“Saudi Arabia continues to be a big trading partner with China, and it was an obvious choice to increase our network into the kingdom,†said Najeeb Akhtar, assistant sales and marketing manager at CSA.
Guangzhou has become a major manufacturing and trading hub in China over recent years.
Trade between Guangzhou and UAE touched $2.9 billion in 2006.
