Hanoi, Vietnam – Within the framework of the 13th regular session of the Russia-Vietnam intergovernmental commission on commercial, technical and scientific cooperation Sukhoi Civil Aircraft Company and VietJet Air, a start-up Vietnamese airline, signed in the presence of Viktor Khristenko, Minister of Industry and Trade in the Russian Federation a protocol, confirming the readiness of the Vietnamese airline to look into the perspective to purchase Sukhoi Superjet 100 regional aircraft.
VietJet Aviation General Director Nguyen Duc Tam commented: “Today VietJet Aviation has signed a protocol with SCAC, which we consider one of the most promising regional jet producers. Having analyzed the market we think that Sukhoi Superjet 100 has the potential to become an effective part of our future fleetâ€.
SCAC President, Vladimir Prisyazhnyuk, noted “South East Asia is one of the most prospective regions. We foresee a substantial traffic growth there in the next two decades. SSJ100 will be a perfect tool which will ensure the local operators to sustain this growthâ€.
