Today Air France – KLM group closed a deal with Alitalia to take a minority interest of 25% in the Italian carrier. At this time there are no official numbers known about the deal, but last week there was talk about a 300 million euro’s deal.

German carrier Lufthansa was also talking with Alitalia, but there was no offer on the table.

With Air France – KLM as partner Alitalia has more possibilities on foreign routes. Alitalia is the third airline in Europe.
