Fort Worth, Texas (11 September, 2015) – Bell Helicopter, a Textron Inc. (NYSE: TXT) company, in collaboration with JB Investments, last week introduced for the first time in Poland, the new multi mission Bell 505 Jet Ranger X™ aircraft mockup at the XXIII MSPO International Defense Industry Exhibition in Warsaw. A reception was held at JB Investments’ private airbase near Warsaw to present the aircraft to clients and aviation enthusiasts, with the Bell 505 Jet Ranger X™ on display.
The Bell 505 redefines the short light single (SLS) class, placing safety, performance and affordability at the forefront. The Bell 505 blends proven systems of advanced technology with a sleek, modern design.
“This aircraft was designed with our customers in mind,” said Jakub Hoda, Bell Helicopter, managing director Europe and Russia. “They continually provide us with invaluable insight about how we can improve our products and what they need for their missions so that we can in-turn deliver a product that offers the best combination of value, performance, safety and support that our customers have come to expect from Bell Helicopter.”
“We are delighted to be presenting the Bell 505 Jet Ranger X™ to the Polish market,” said Jan Borowski, JB Investments, owner. “We believe that the Bell 505 will do well in Poland. With over 55 letters of intent in Europe alone, the Bell 505 is priced to compete and delivers true multi mission capability with exceptional performance.”
The Bell 505 is the first helicopter in its class to feature a fully integrated glass flight deck through the use of the Garmin G1000H Integrated Avionics Suite, providing critical flight information at a glance to maximize situational awareness. Pilot workload and safety is further reduced by the Turbomeca Arrius 2R engine with dual channel Full Authority Digital Engine Control (FADEC) and a high inertia rotor system, delivering superior auto rotation capabilities.
The Bell 505 Jet Ranger X™ is backed by Bell Helicopter’s renowned customer service support, voted #1 by customers for 21 years running; the company was also recently voted ‘best in the business’ in Vertical Magazine’s Helicopter Manufacturers Survey.
