Airbus once again showcases its cabin innovations at this years’ Aircraft Interiors Expo in Hamburg, Germany – the world’s largest event dedicated to the aircraft interiors industry, in-flight entertainment, connectivity and passenger services. Visitors to the Airbus stand will be able to judge for themselves the quality of Airbus’ recent cabin offerings.
Passenger comfort has always been a major design consideration at Airbus, ensuring the best possible passenger experience across all its aircraft families. Thanks to wider cross-sections, Airbus aircraft offer an 18” wide seat in economy class. Trends in demographics and the desire to meet passenger needs have led Airbus to innovate with the ‘Extra-Wide-Seat’ for the A320 Family. Visitors to the Airbus stand will be able to test and feel the space of these different seat comfort standards.
Cabin efficiency for the A320 Family is also presented with a new production-standard mock-up of “Space-Flex”, the innovative rear cabin configuration on the A320 Family, which will enter into service this year with the launch customer. Visitors will see the ingenuity of this product and the step change in comfort especially for persons of reduced mobility.
The latest updates on A350 XWB will also be available on the Airbus stand. For example, the A350’s efficient and passenger-conscious ‘flat-floor’ architecture will be demonstrated. And for our flagship aircraft – the A380 – there will be a 85” screen with new high-definition cabin visualization and also a large cut-away model.
Airbus’ space-efficient concepts go beyond new products: Airbus Upgrade Services will present its range of retrofit solutions and services. Our Cabin experts and executives will be available for dedicated media briefings and interview opportunities each day. And our human resource representatives will also be on hand to talk to students and young talents about career opportunities.
