The major transaction concludes discussions initiated in 2025 and represents the airline’s largest single-aisle order with the American aircraft manufacturer. Turkish Airlines secured a firm order for 100 737-8 airplanes along with options for an additional 50 737 MAX jets. Officials finalized the agreement in the direct presence of His Excellency Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, President of the Republic of Türkiye, underscoring the deal’s strategic national importance.
The new agreement directly supports Turkish Airlines in meeting rising passenger demand across its extensive international and domestic network.
