Aviation News – The UK Government has secured a major defense agreement with the Republic of Türkiye to provide essential training, support equipment, and technical services for its recently ordered Eurofighter Typhoon fleet. This deal ensures that the Turkish Armed Forces possess the necessary infrastructure and expertise to operate the advanced multi-role combat aircraft effectively upon delivery.
The contract follows a landmark government-to-government agreement announced in October for the purchase of 20 Typhoon aircraft. To support this acquisition, BAE Systems will lead the delivery of critical spares, high-fidelity training simulators, and specialized electronic warfare capabilities. The development context highlights a deepening strategic bond between the two nations, positioning the Typhoon as a cornerstone of regional security across Europe and the Middle East.
Under the terms of the agreement, the technical support services will span an initial three-year term starting from the aircraft’s entry into service.
