Aviation News – Bombardier has won a $1.18 billion firm order from private jet operator Vista for 40 Challenger 3500 aircraft, strengthening its position in the midsize business jet market and signaling continued demand for premium private travel.
The agreement includes options for up to 120 additional jets, which could lift the total value of the deal to $4.72 billion if fully exercised. The selection marks one of the largest recent fleet commitments in the business aviation sector and deepens the long-standing partnership between the Canadian manufacturer and the global charter specialist, as Vista continues expanding capacity to meet rising customer demand.
The Challenger 3500 is Bombardier’s latest evolution of its best-selling midsize platform, designed for transcontinental range, lower operating costs and enhanced passenger comfort. The jet features improved fuel efficiency, upgraded avionics, and a modern cabin aimed at corporate and high-net-worth travelers, allowing operators like Vista to offer longer routes with greater reliability and reduced emissions.
