At the opening ceremony of 2024 China Aviation Industry Conference and Nanchang Air Show held on November 2nd, 2024, an ARJ21 aircraft and a C919 aircraft of Commercial Aircraft Corporation of China, Ltd. (COMAC) took off successively, and conducted demonstration flights such as formation gathering, coordinated flying, coordinated turning and low pass in the blue sky. This is the first time for ARJ21 and C919 to conduct duel-aircraft demonstration flights in formation, which showcased the good flight performance of the two aircraft, and added a unique “COMAC” color to the air show.

Subsequently, the ARJ21 aircraft landed first, and the C919 aircraft continued to perform solo demonstration flights such as low pass and large pitch angle climb. The two aircraft would also be on static display on the ground during the air show.

In the indoor exhibition area, COMAC presented 1:20 mockups of C919 and C929 baseline aircraft, a 1:20 mockup of ARJ21 aircraft with Jiangxi Air painting, 1:32 mockups of ARJ21 business jet, medical rescue aircraft, emergency rescue command aircraft, firefighting aircraft and cargo aircraft, as well as mockups of shorten version/plateau version and extended version aircraft of C919 aircraft family to the public.

Up to now, a total of 150 ARJ21 aircraft have been delivered, and the aircraft have successively operated in more than 600 routes in more than 150 cities, and carried more than 17,000,000 passengers. A total of 11 C919 aircraft have been delivered, and the aircraft have successively operated in 9 routes in 7 cities, and carried 700,000 passengers. The serial development of the two aircraft is pushed forward with steady steps.
