US Approves Multimillion Sale of Software Upgrades for F-16’s Oman Air Force

The US Department of State has granted preliminary approval for a $62-million sale of software upgrades for F-16 combat jets and secure communications equipment, the Defense Security Cooperation Agency (DSCA) said in a release.

The deal would also include Sniper Advanced Targeting Pod software, support equipment, spares and training; systems support and test equipment; spare and repair parts; and training and training equipment, the release added.
