Cologne Bonn Airport selects Rockwell Collins’ common use passenger processing solution to improve passenger flow and reduce costs

Cologne Bonn Airport (CGN) has switched to Rockwell Collins’ ARINC vMUSE™ common use passenger processing solution (CUPPS). The new ARINC vMUSE system will enable the airport to continue its successful deployment of CUPPS, providing CGN’s passengers with an enhanced check-in experience.

“The implementation of ARINC vMUSE will be used by our entire airport community,” said Jochen Görtz, Manager, Passenger Services & Operations at CGN.  “ARINC vMUSE meets the latest IATA standards today, and ensures we are ready to handle new requirements coming in the future. In addition, ARINC vMUSE allows airlines to share workstations, reducing costs and making the best use of our airport’s existing infrastructure.”

Through its ARINC Managed Services (AMS) offering, Rockwell Collins offers 24x7x365 on-site and on-call IT support services for the airport’s passenger processing systems, including German-speaking help desk operators to assist airport personnel.

“We are very pleased with the work the Rockwell Collins team is doing to help us meet an aggressive implementation schedule,” continued Görtz. “The combination of Rockwell Collins CUPPS and IT support will deliver an outstanding travel experience for our passengers.”
