These two contract awards follow a strategic agreement signed between the two companies to explore opportunities for future contracting that could be worth as much as several hundred million dollars.

IAI and Boeing have a 40 year history of working together. To earn expanded work from Boeing IAI is committed to sustain required levels of performance in areas including quality, delivery, cost, and supply chain management.

The new contact for 777x demonstrates a shared commitment by company leaders to expand the strategic relationship between IAI and Boeing.

“Boeing’s renewed vote of confidence in IAI is an act that cannot be overestimated. Working with the world’s leading aviation giant serves as a stamp of quality for IAI’s technological and aviation capabilities. We are happy and proud of the agreement, and believe that this cooperation will bear fruit for years to come “, says IAI today.

IAI will build the 777X empennage leading edge at its Lod, Israel, manufacturing facility, with first delivery in the second half of 2017.
