Fokker Services, part of Fokker Technologies, announces that it has received the order from Air Baltic, Latvia for the introduction of TCAS 7.1 modification on their B737 and Q400 fleet.

The development of version 7.1 of the Traffic Collision Avoidance System (TCAS) was initiated by EUROCONTROL and will bring improvements to the reversal logic by detecting situations in which, despite the Resolution Advisories, the aircraft continue to converge vertically.

The deadline for TCAS 7.1 upgrade for the applicable aircraft is 1 December 2015.

Heino van der Laan, Vice President Marketing and Sales Fokker Services:  “We are proud that Air Baltic, one of the key airlines in the Baltic region, has chosen Fokker Services for our TCAS 7.1 solution. It shows the fact that operators are recognising the added value of our product and service portfolio of our Bombardier and Boeing solutions.”
