Embraer Executive Jets displays the Legacy 650 at CIBAS 2013

LEGACY 650

Embraer Executive Jets will exhibit the Legacy 650 large executive jet at the Chinese International Business Aviation Show (CIBAS) 2013. The aircraft will be on static display at the Flight Inspection Center of CAAC (Civil Aviation Administration of China), in Beijing, from September 10-12th, 2013.
The Embraer Executive Jets press conference will be held in the Conference Room of the Inspection Center from 11am-12pm, September 10th, when the Company’s China Executive Aviation Market Outlook will be presented, along with the most recent developments in the aircraft programs, and updates on its customer support initiatives.
“As the only business aircraft manufacturer to offer customers a full line of products, Embraer Executive Jets continues to gain worldwide recognition,” Guan Dongyuan, Senior Vice President of Embraer and President of Embraer China, “The Legacy 650 at the static display will showcase a combination of outstanding performance and intelligent luxury, which allows visitors to enjoy Embraer Executive Jets’ technological innovation and unparalleled cabin design.”
Entering service in late 2010, the Legacy 650 has a range of 3,900 nautical miles (7,223 kilometers), offering customers nonstop flights such as Beijing to Dubai and Hong Kong to Adelaide (Australia), with four passengers aboard, under NBAA IFR conditions. With the largest cabin in its class, the aircraft’s three distinctive cabin zones allow up to 14 passengers to work or rest during the flight, and enjoy the latest-generation entertainment system and high-speed internet access. The aircraft also has the largest in-flight-accessible baggage compartment and lavatory in its category.
Since 2004, when its first executive jet was delivered to the China market, the Company has booked orders for 38 executive jets, including five options. In light of the growth of its customer base in the Greater China region, the Embraer Executive Jets Service Center Network is expanding with the addition of several Authorized Service Centers to offer tailor-made efficient service and support.
In late August of 2013, Embraer’s first China-assembled Legacy 650 successfully completed its maiden flight. The jet was assembled by Harbin Embraer Aircraft Industry Co. Ltd., Embraer’s joint venture with Aviation Industry Corporation of China (AVIC). Embraer’s Legacy 600 and Legacy 650 programs began implementation in China, in June 2012, when both parties inked the agreement on the Executive Jets cooperation based on their consensus of the potential of the Chinese business aviation market.
