We chose the AS350 line as the base of our fleet because these aircraft have proven to be extremely reliable,” explained Larry Bugg, President, EagleMed LLC. “Our AS350 helicopters give us the performance and flexibility we need to deliver the best patient care for our mission, critical transports.”

The AS350 AStar® family of helicopters has been a stalwart platform in the United States and throughout the world. It continues to gain popularity in the U.S. air medical industry because it provides performance, reliability and versatility combined with low operating costs. “We are eager to continue our support of the team at EagleMed and its growth efforts. Its commitment to the AS350 reflects the growing popularity of the AStar family for the U.S. air medical mission,” said Treg Manning, Vice President, Commercial Sales, American Eurocopter. “These aircraft are dependable and versatile with the high performance to support air medical missions with fully-equipped configurations like EagleMed’s.”

EagleMed operates an extensive fleet of Beechcraft King Air fixed wing and Eurocopter AStar rotor wing aircraft. These newest AStars are being completed by Metro Aviation. All the company’s aircraft are completely configured for mission critical transports and medically equipped to transform the aircraft into “flying ICUs.”

EagleMed is a privately-owned and operated critical care air medical service provider that was founded in 1982. Based in Wichita, Kansas, the company operates 25 aircraft servicing a eightstate area in the Midwest. It gained accreditation by the Commission on Accreditation of Medical Transport Services in 2000, and since August 2009, EagleMed LLC has been operated as a subsidiary of Air Medical Group Holdings Inc.
