F-35B model lands at Edwards Air Force Base

BF-2 taxis in after arriving at Edwards AFB, Calif., July 23 in order to begin airstart testing at the 461st Flight Test Squadron. Marine Corps test pilot Lt. Col. Matt Kelly flew the aircraft from Naval Air Station Patuxent River, Md. BF-2 is the F-35B variant of the Joint Strike Fighter for the U.S. Marine Corps and international partners, capable of short take-offs and vertical landings for use on amphibious ships or expeditionary airfields to provide air power to the Marine Air-Ground Task Force.
