Embraer supports its largest Pool customer with additional EMBRAER 190 support

São José dos Campos, June 10, 2011 – Embraer announces the expansion of its EMBRAER 190 Pool Program agreement with Aeromexico Connect by adding Engine Line Replaceable Unit (LRU) component support. With this expansion, the airline’s fleet of aircraft now includes coverage for an additional 47 part numbers, bringing the scope to over 360 components.

“Embraer is excited to provide Aeromexico Connect with increased Pool Program support,” said John Linn, Embraer Vice President, Customer Support and Services, Airline Market, North America. “The addition of Engine LRU components to their program further enhances the airline’s operational performance through immediate access to replacement parts promoting schedule reliability, cost reduction, and eliminating the need for the airline to maintain large parts inventories. This addition further strengthens the long-term relationship between Embraer and Aeromexico Connect.”

“Embraer is a very important partner for Aeromexico Connect and the inclusion of Engine LRU’s in the Pool program is a major achievement,” said Sergio Aleman, Aeromexico Connect’s Vice President of Maintenance. “This agreement provides immediate benefits to our company by assuring high levels of guaranteed material availability at controllable fixed costs. This allows us to focus on providing passengers with the level of service they have come to expect and appreciate from Aeromexico Connect.”

Aeromexico Connect is Embraer’s largest Pool customer considering its combined fleet of ERJ 145s and E-Jets totaling 47 aircraft.

Embraer’s Pool Program offers airlines operating Embraer’s jets immediate access to the manufacturer’s significant supply of repairable items for a monthly fee, which saves the operator from having to invest in large parts inventories.
