EMBRAER EXHIBITS AT CBAA IN CALGARY, CANADA

Embraer will participate for the sixth time in this year’s 50th Anniversary Canadian Business Aviation Association (CBAA) Annual Convention, Trade Show and Static Display, in Calgary, Canada, July 7, at Skyservice Business Aviation at Calgary International Airport (YYC). The Company will display its entry level Phenom 100 and light Phenom 300 jets, and, for the first time, its midsize Legacy 500 mockup.

“We are pleased to be a part of this year’s CBAA 50th Anniversary Convention, since this event is a great way to connect with our customers in Canada,” said Ernest Edwards, President, Embraer Executive Jets. “We will once again showcase our Phenom 100 and Phenom 300 best-in-class business jets, as well as display our Legacy 500 mockup for the first time. The Legacy 500 is a clean-sheet design aircraft that will become the industry leader, known for its technology, premium comfort, outstanding performance and low operating costs.”

Launched in 2008, the Legacy 500 is a midsize executive jet that will be the fastest in its category, with cutting-edge fly-by-wire flight controls that increase operating safety and passenger comfort, while reducing pilot workload and fuel consumption. The aircraft will be equipped with Rockwell Collins’ state-of-the-art Pro Line Fusion™ avionics suite, and Honeywell’s latest-generation HTF7500E engines will power the midsize aircraft with 6,540 pounds of takeoff thrust. The Legacy 500 will carry up to 12 passengers and is scheduled to enter service in the second half of 2012.

The Phenom programs have received much attention over the last six years. The Phenom 100 was launched in 2005 and achieved full FAA (Federal Aviation Administration) certification in December 2008 with customer deliveries beginning the same month. Two years later, in 2010, the entry level jet was the most delivered business jet and currently, over 200 Phenom 100 aircraft are in service around the world.

The Phenom 300 has the largest cabin volume in the light jet category, comfortably accommodating up to ten occupants in an executive seating layout. Launched in 2005, the light jet began deliveries in December 2009, one year after the first Phenom 100 customers received their aircraft. Since then, the Phenom 300 has had worldwide acceptance, including national and regional fractional companies. Currently, over 40 Phenom 300 aircraft are in service around the world.
