EAMS COMPLETES 4th MAINTENANCE INSPECTION FOR TACA GROUP

The EMBRAER 190 jet was delivered on time to the new Latin American customer

Embraer Aircraft Maintenance Services (EAMS), a subsidiary of Embraer, and the Company’s maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO) facility in Nashville, Tennessee, in the U.S., announce the completion of the fourth heavy maintenance inspection on an EMBRAER 190 jet for the new Latin American customer, TACA Group. The recent successful B1 maintenance inspection on the aircraft operated by LACSA was completed on time.

This inspection is part of a maintenance agreement signed by the two organizations during the fourth quarter of 2010. The deal includes three TACA Group carriers – TACA International, LACSA, and TACA Peru – and covers EMBRAER 190 jets operated by these companies through 2011-2012.

“We are very proud to serve TACA’s fleet of EMBRAER 190s and feel honored that the organization has entrusted EAMS, the world’s most experienced E-Jets maintenance provider and a wholly owned subsidiary of Embraer, with their heavy check inspections,” said John Linn, Embraer Vice President, Customer Support and Services, Airline Market, North America. “We look forward to a close relationship with this premier Latin American carrier for many years to come.”

“TACA is very selective with outside service providers, and thoroughly studied the market before selecting EAMS to conduct its heavy maintenance inspections,” said Ignacio Fernandez, Vice President, Maintenance and Engineering, TACA. “We highly value EAMS’ dedicated and efficient work and appreciate the commitment to deliver our aircraft on time with all tasks performed, assuring that they are ready to be scheduled for revenue service immediately upon return to our base.”
