Dassault Aviation has requested that the EASA temporarily suspend Falcon 7X flight operations

On Wednesday, May 25, 2011 a Falcon 7X experienced a pitch trim event during descent. The crew successfully recovered the aircraft to a stable flight profile and performed an uneventful landing.

Dassault Aviation remains committed to the highest level of safety of his aircraft and has dispatched a team of experts. Determining the cause and rapidly providing a solution to its operators is the company utmost priority.

Out of an abundance of caution, Dassault Aviation has contacted the EASA (European Aviation Safety Agency) to request that Falcon 7X operations be temporarily suspended as Thursday, May 26.

The Falcon 7X fleet is comprised of 112 aircraft which have safely accumulated over 75,000 flight hours. This is the first event of this nature that’s been reported since the aircraft entered service in 2007.
