AgustaWestland, a Finmeccanica company, is pleased to announce that FAASA Aviación of Spain has been appointed an authorised service station for its fleet of AW119 single engine helicopters in Spain. FAASA Aviación has ordered twenty AW119s so far, with twelve units already in service and eight more soon to join the fleet. As an authorised service station FAASA Aviación will have the best on-site support services for its aircraft, further enhancing their operational effectiveness. FAASA Aviación will also be able to provide local support for other AW119 helicopter operators in Spain.

FAASA Aviación, one of the first customers to have chosen and introduced into service the AW119 Ke, is one of the leading Spanish companies providing helicopters and fixed-wing aircraft for fire-fighting and the first customer of the AW119 Ke in Europe. A prime fire-fighting services provider in Europe, FAASA Aviación has accomplished thousands of missions operating its fleet of AW119 helicopters in demanding conditions. The appointment of FAASA Aviación as a new AgustaWestland service station further expands the number of service and spare-parts centres worldwide as part of AgustaWestland’s customer focus strategy and one of the major company’s steps to provide ever increasing quality and responsiveness to its growing customer base. This approach is aimed at maximising the effectiveness of customers’ helicopters by providing local support and services close to their area of business and to help reduce ownership costs.
The 8-seats AW119 is the top-of-the-range helicopter in the single engine market and has excellent performance even in extremely hot and high operating environments.
