EADS and its Divisions – Airbus, Astrium, Cassidian and Eurocopter – will have a major presence at the Seoul International Aerospace & Defence Exhibition 2011 with a broad portfolio of products, services and technologies on display.
Visitors to the show, which runs October 18-23 at Seoul Airport, will be able to see the unrivalled capabilities that the EADS Group can offer to South Korea and beyond in the fields of aerospace, defence and security.
On the EADS Stand (Hall D, Stand Number D12), Airbus will present scale models of its new A350XWB and A320neo (New Engine Option) aircraft as well as the A400M military transport aircraft produced by Airbus Military. Eurocopter meanwhile will present the Surion helicopter, a development by Korea Aerospace Industries where Eurocopter is a primary partner under the Korea Utility Helicopter program. It will also have models of the AS565 Panther and Tiger military combat helicopter on the Stand.
Cassidian meanwhile will present its Do-DT45 Target Drone and Eurofighter will have a separate stand to exhibit the most advanced capabilities of the system including AESA radar, the Meteor missile made by MBDA and the new pilot’s helmet. A full scale cockpit will also be present at the show.
Astrium, the space division of EADS and an active partner of the Korean Aerospace and Research Institute and Korean industry, will exhibit models of its TerraSAR-X, radar earth observation satellite, its Eurostar E3000 telecommunication satellite and Airpatrol, a state of the art Airborne Satcom Antenna. Airpatrol brings Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance information over wideband satcom for a variety of platforms, from UAVs to Helicopters and Mission Aircraft.
